iI would like to express my take on the present debate on whether hindi should be made official language in the states where English is the current official language.Hindi being a national language “Rashtra Bhasha” and a medium used in office and school curriculum in multiple states and widely spoken throughout India one will feel at home when you travel anywhere in India other than your Home state.In kerala our aspirations were oriented towards foreign land hence we mug up English to be competent enough to grab oppurtunities in the profession and other artistic fiefdoms.now with the Bharatiya janata party assuming power serious efforts are made to create oppurtunities inland where hindi would come in handy apart from one’s regional language.Hindi helps to integrate the nation as many people leave their home towns to other states in search of greener pastures.we accommodate them gleefully without any discrimination.hindi helps us to communicate effectively with them inorder to make them comfortable to carry out their duties.He or She might know only hindi As a student, I was initiated to the hindi language at a very young age since i studied in a syllabus which comes under [ CBSE central board of secondary education.] at lower primary school. Moreover, I developed a liking for hindi by watching hindi movies which is popular in our city.Even when I was working in other south Indian states Hindi helped me immensely to communicate with drivers and local people.central government offices display a whiteboard where one hindi word and its meaning is given everday inorder to get familiarised with certain words commonly used in correspondence and official matters.we should give hindi a special affection and should not see it as imposing on us.

Mikhail Gorbechev’s demise at the age of 91 and subsequent reports changed my perception about this leader.Ascended to the soviet union’s presidency in1985 when cold war was on between the two super powers USA and USSR [union of soviet socialist republic]..As all communists believe the saddest part of the history was unfolded during his tenure .his reformist measures perestroika [reconstruction] and Glasnost [openness]didn’t helped soviet union’s aspirations and led to its disintegration later contracted to Commonwealth of Independent states- CIS  with its citadel in Russia under his successor Boris Yeltsin a member of communist party of soviet union [CPSU] who took reins from him to avoid the crisis.Erstwhile soviet union was comprised of 15 republics including Baltic regions and Ukraine. Soviet union was an ally for many third world countries including India .people still gush about its glorious days where the country was prosperous and harmonious .Mikhail gorbachev led to its downfall.The might of soviet union helped them to defeat hitler’s germany in the second world war[ 1945 ]under joseph stalin .On the contrary Gorbachev was hailed as harbinger of peace when he entered into treaty with NATO -north atlantic treaty organisation  for nuclear disarmament and due to his peace initiatives he was later awarded Nobel peace prize.The truce between two nuclear powers brought an end to the arms race and new world order has emerged.

सबाश INDIA 🇮🇳

Its euphoric to see India finish at fourth place in the medals tally with 22 Gold 16 silver and 23 bronze in the games where 43 nations. featured in medals table out of 72 nations  participated . Australia emerged winners with 67 Gold medals leaving hosts England behind in the second place with 57 Gold medals and Canada third with 26 Gold medals in the recently concluded Commonwealth games at Birmingham England .we have seen a spectacular performance from Indian contingent this time particularly in weight lifting and wrestling where Indians won 22 medals in total including the gold of mirabai chanu .Apart from this its exhilarating to see india perform well in Table tennis where Achanta Sharath Kamal won 2 gold medals and in field events Eldhose paul and Abdulla aboobacker won gold and silver respectively in men’s triple jump .In badminton p.v. sindhu and treesa jolly went on to win gold medal alongwith lakshya sen in Men’s singles.common wealth games is a an event second only to olympics .A win here would do a world of good to the sportspersons morale to achieve more as the Olympic motto implies “citius ,altius,fortius”- Faster higher stronger .

Zinedine Zidane affectionately known as zizou among his peers turns 50 today .he has reached pinnacle of his career with his successful stint in Real Madrid as a coach.One of the greatest ever and undoubtedly on par with his countryman Michel Platini who’s admired for banana kicks here in India {swerving freekicks} .He took France to glory in 1998 world cup final against brazil with his astute captaincy and midfielding prowess which got them the coveted worldcup for the first time.He donned the colors of france again but could not repeat this feat in the world cup 2006 as they lost to Italy in the final of worldcup where zidane was shown red card and sent off for the infamous head butt incident against Marco Matterazzi of Italy after their verbal duel during the match .France was reduced to ten men and they couldn’t beat Italy who went on to win the worldcup 2006.France is the current champions of the world cup as they are the winners in 2018 .its matter of time to see whether they can defend their title in the upcoming world cup football finals 2022 in Qatar.

Its a dream run for BJP all these 8 years and I think this is an occasion to share some interesting incidents which instilled pride in being a karyakarta and morale boosting enough to fortify my belief in Democracy and you at the helm helped in the endeavour.

This is an incident happened in Nedumbaseery Airport Kochi some time ago where your intervention in reducing the price of chai which was exorbitant on the request of a passenger  and even in small matters which usually not reach the upper echelons of prime minister’s office and get it done. your positive action is a surprise and it shows our unity in diversity and that  the north south divide is not there anymore .Moreover it gave me courage to carry out my actions as a Bharatiya janata party member each day after having a glass of steaming Chai ( tea) from the teastall here in Calicut  except Sundays .it peps me to action as my interactions are mostly with common people and babus.During covid days this teastall where we hang around  near YMCA  was the only solace for the people during restrictions.Moreover all like minded people who come to city  every day for work and for other purposes meet here and leave as soon as they had their tea keeping 'a 'safe distance' in mind.Iam also a blogger on the subject through social media 

Another incident which heartened me was the  government action in slashing the petrol price as a Deepavali Gift  before the Ukraine crisis came and brought down to the same price a few weeks ago even when the  crude oil price is high.Now with fewer  restrictions and high inflationary markets people who indulge in own business and those who commute daily from office to home find this as a boon and it all reflects the popularism of Bharatiya Janata party .Your monthly interaction with people  “Mann ki Baat “ is a novel feature and has not been done by any prime minister before .For karyakartas like me being in kerala this acts as a canvas to draw a picture of our party’s vision . 

 In the pursuit of AtmanirbharBharat and in the 75th year of Independence as we all stride forward I wish you and BJP great times ahead .

DEMOCRACY  ENTAILS  MANY RIGHTS TO INDIVIDUAL OF A NATION WHERE ONE HAS A FRANCHISE TO ELECT OR DETHRONE A GOVERNMENT .WE HAVE SEEN THIS IN OUR COUNTRY AND OTHER DEMOCRACTIC NATIONS .INDIA AND UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS THE PILLAR NATIONS OF DEMOCRACY IN THIS ERA OF WHICH LATTER IS THE OLDEST ONE .MANY NEW NATIONS WHO IS UNDER MILITARY RULE ARE CONTEMPLATING TO SHIFT TO DEMOCRACY LIKE MYANMAR .IT IS RULED BY MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT AND AS WE ALL KNOW  ITS DEMOCRACY LEADER AUNG SANG SUU KYI IS KEPT IN HOUSE ARREST AFTER ALLOWING TO RULE FOR FEW YEARS.THE JUNTA AS THEY CALL THEMSELVES  DO NOT FATHOM TO LET DEMOCRATIC FORCES TO TAMPER THEIR DISCIPLINE AND WELL OILED MACHINERY OF ADMINISTRATION WHERE THEY PROVIDE FOOD AND OTHER AMENITIES TO PEOPLE .DEMOCRATIC FORCES JUST CANNOT  UNDO THIS.THIS IS wHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR NEIGHBOURING COUNTRY PAKISTAN WHERE MILITARY RULE WAS THERE SINCE 1958  DEMOCRACY  GOT PROMINENCE WHEN  BENAZIR BHUTTO BECAME PRIME MINISTER  AFTER THE DEATH OF GENERAL ZIA UL HAQ  WHO GAVE PAKISTAN A NEW FACE AFTER HANGING ZULFIKAR ALI BHUTTO FOR ANTI NATIONAL ACTIVITIES.NATION  WAS ALWAYS UNDER THE CONTROL OF MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT OF PAKISTAN.THEY GAVE DEMOCRACY A CHANCE BECAUSE OF PEOPLE'S ASPIRATIONS REVOLVE AROUND DEMOCRACY  AND INDIA'S SUCCESS AS A DEMOCRATIC NATION.NOW PAKISTAN IS GOING TO WITNESS ELECTION  SOON WHICH WOULD BE THEIR STANDARDISATION OF DEMOCRACY .

WE OFTEN FIND NATIONS WHO WERE RULED UNDER MILITARY TEND TO COME OUT OF ITS SHACKLES TO BE A LIBERAL NATION WHERE THEY ASPIRE TO LIVE ACCORDING TO THEIR WHIMS AND FANCIES .HONGKONG UNDER BRITISH RULE HANDED OVER TO CHINA RECENTLY TRIED  TO REVOLT AGAINST ITS CONTROL WITHOUT SUCCESS.THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN CHINA WHO CONDEMN TIANANMEN SQUARE MILITARY ACTION IN 1989 WHERE MANY STUDENTS WERE  MASSACRED CITE THIS AS THE REASON FOR UPHEAVEL. THE EASTERN BLOC CUNTRIES WHICH WAS UNDER IRON CURTAIN AND INVISIBLE TO THE MEDIA OF OUR WORLD DO NOT HAVE DEMOCRACY BUT THEY ADVANCE  IN MANY FIELDS AND ARE SELF RELIANT.PEOPLE OF THESE NATIONS WORK IN TANDEM FOR THE PROGRESS AND PRODUCTION OF THEIR NATION .THERE’S NO PLACE FOR  SUPPRESSION AND  ARE IN UNISON  TO TAKE THEIR NATION FORWARD AS THEY THEMSELVES ARE PART OF THE GOVERNMENT.THEY NAME THEIR COUNTRY AS PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC.BUT WE BELIEVE WE ARE FORTUNATE BECAUSE OF THE FREEDOM WE ENJOY IN OUR WORLD WHERE DEMOCRACY IS THE ONLY CHOICE IF ONLY WE EXERCISE OUR FRANCHISE JUDICIOUSLY.

In the seventh year of Digital India people are in grip with Digital payments interface or unified payment interface as we can see the familiarity of digital transactions using this interface through Quick response code - QR Code .During my recent visit to nearby town manjeri in malappuram district  I was able to get  many  things done  without dispensing cash.its a great instance of digital savvy merchants and customers .Moreover it works in tandem with the technology advancement happening across the globe like  Google Maps Navigator Assistance  and its precise navigation and route options with any means of transport or if you like to take a walk.its foolproof except in remote locations where Global positioning system-GPS is unavailable

Trissur -തൃശ്ശിവപേരൂർ being The cultural capital of Kerala holds a special place in my heart and i had a nostalgia during my sojourn to trissivaperur couple of days ago. This is due to many reasons both professionally and personally .my former employer was based in Trissur a famous financial concern which has many branches all over India. This is how I knew about trissur accompanied   by many official visits.Other than the proximity to our city Calicut its rich cultural heritage captivates us to explore more.Trichur district hosts the world renowned Trissur Pooram where many caparisoned elephants parade in front of Vadakkumnathan Temple in Thekkinkadu maidan during the festival where we witness huge ensemble of percussionists competing with each other among humungous crowd.Though i didn’t get an opportunity to be there on pooram i catch hold of it through television .All the vantage points of the city will be occupied to get a glimpse of the festival.but my love for the city is for another reason. one of the prominent colleges of trissur ,Sree kerala Varma college since 1934 stands out for its heritage of being an institution which equip  young talents to show their mettle in sports as well as in academics .I happened to meet youngsters of kerala varma college in my college days  during inter collegiate competitions as  kerala varma is affiliated to the University of Calicut. They inspired me to pursue sports as a career though it didn’t take me anywhere. I went to the college to see its politically Conscious 

 campus and stadium. I cherish the moment of association with one of  its alumnus whom i had an acquaintance.

 On the Anvil of World Cup in Qatar this year Soccer fans from all over the world are to witness a Month long Football Frenzy season  .In our city where many football  greats have played both national and International  games and  our own Sait Nagjee Purushotam Football tournament where Indian clubs from calcutta  known as mecca of football  and also from other parts of the country  including teams from Kerala. The  three major football clubs of Kolkatta erstwhile calcutta   were  always a crowd puller and is the main attraction of the tournament  Though my favourite is Mohun Bagan i like Mohammedan Sporting for their grittiness and  East Bengal  as an Arch rival. Though kerala has produced many football  players who donned the National Colours  I vividly  remember  Premnath Phillips  who was a mainstay of Mohammedan Sporting and led them to victory during his Ten years of  stint  with kolkatta  giant  including  Mohun Bagan   in his entire  career span of  fifteen  years before returning to Kerala. He was a reliable defender and his position was Right full back along with other stalwarts in defence from Bengal like  Manoranjan Bhattacharya a [Stopper - Centre Full back]  Subrata Bhattacharya also a Right full back and Shyamal Banerjee  in Left full back position in the 80's .He had also represented Two States  Bengal and Maharashtra  other than Native State Kerala  .Kerala alongwith West Bengal are  traditional football friendly states and has similarity in political front as well with their ideological inclination towards communism and to football since its a mass game .

 

Premnath Phillips is into coaching Nowadays  and is heading an Academy to nurture football talents  here in our Home town Calicut

Thaipuzham - തൈപ്പൂയം  is  very popular festival in Arulmigu Dhandayudhapani Temple Palani ,Dindigul,Tamil Nadu .Puzham is believed to be the birth star of Lord Muruga ..Though I could not attend the Ratholsava this time in Palani on Thaipusam I was able to attend the festivities here in my Hometown Calicut at SreeKanteshwara Temple where Thaipusam or Thaipuzham festivities last till late in the Evening.After the ablutions are over every devotees  is  offered Prasadam which was adorned on the idol of the deity "Vadivel" which literally means lord standing with a  Spearheaded Stick .In our ethos there's a duel between Muruga and Shurapadman a Asura king who petrified devas with his authoritarian ways and they sought the help of kumaran [lord's boyhood name]  because of his  invincible powers Devas only hope was lord Muruga. he engaged in a epic battle with Surapadmasura which lasted long and his resilience perplexed lord due to his supernatural abilities where he transform into a bird and also as  a mountain .Karthikeya overcame his illusionary forms and broke his heart into Two by "Velayudham"-  The Spear  thus ending the miseries of Devas ..he was later made his follower due to his indomitable resoluteness which impressed lord  Muruga  .The two parts of his hearts were made "Cock and Peacock " latter later became his vehicle popularly known as Mayilvahanam and the former 'Cock' was made a Symbol on his Flag. as a Solace to his soul.They were with  Agni The Fire God and with Devendra the leader of Devas respectively who regained their selves  by bestowing Cock and Peacock .God's in heaven chanted in unison and showered floral tributes on Karthikeya from their heavenly abode "Subramaniam Subramaniam "

WHO guidelines were followed by the nations infected with this disease to take precautionary measures to break the pandemic chain .BREAK THE CHAIN campaign run by Kerala Government to thwart the pandemic found great results in containing the virus by adopting measures like , wear masks  wash hands and to keep safe distance in public.India’s record of  virus containment were recognised globally .Antiviral drugs like Remdesivir,favipiravir were administered to covid +ve patients at an advanced level .Vaccination drive followed and its been a huge success because we were able to educate the importance of vaccine to citizens. #Indiafightscorona campaign nationally ||to wear masks and distancing- WMD|| since there’s virus in the air.Vaccination drive of two doses is necessary to complete the dosage and to cater to the entire nation.we are at 21.7 % of our target .Largest vaccination drive were carried out with ease because of service oriented mentality of our health workers and coordination through co-win portal .The slot allotment for vaccination didn’t have any hiccups for free vaccination category facilitated by Government and dispensation of certificates.co-win portal and Arogya Setu APP on Mobile helped to keep at distance from the covid positive people in the vicinity and for contact tracing.Dashboard in co-win acts as a ready reckoner of corona virus updates. The different phases of vaccination ensured holistic participation of people in the drive.the #stayathome instructions helped to contain the spread of virus through air reducing the count of deceased which was high in United states of America and Brazil.
